Warcaste Is Going Digital
Updated: 12 hours ago

Warcaste is entering a new chapter.
What began as a physical tabletop card game is now evolving into a fully digital card game for PC.
For years, Warcaste has been developed, tested, rewritten, expanded, and played as a physical TCG. Those years of tabletop development helped shape the core systems that define the game today, Military Doctrines, Command Points, fleet movement, deckbuilding, and the three-zone battlefield.
Now, we’re taking everything we learned from the tabletop version and bringing it to a dedicated digital experience.
Why Go Digital?
Moving Warcaste to digital gives us the opportunity to take the game much further than we could with physical cards alone.
The digital version allows us to build features such as:
A dedicated Story Mode with campaign missions and a galaxy map
Solo battles against computer-controlled opponents
1v1 online PvP
Built-in deckbuilding and card collection
Automatic handling of complex rules and card interactions
Cosmetic foil and full-art card variants
Future expansions and additional card sets through DLC content
Most importantly, digital development lets us focus on making Warcaste easier to learn, easier to play, and easier for players around the world to experience.
The Warcaste You Know Is Still Here
Although the format is changing, the heart of Warcaste is not.
You’ll still choose a Military Doctrine, build a 30-card fleet, manage your Command Points, maneuver through the three-zone battlefield, and fight to destroy enemy territories.
The factions, artwork, cards, lore, and strategies developed for the physical game are becoming the foundation of the digital version.
This isn’t a replacement for everything that came before it.
It’s the next evolution of it.
What Happens to the Physical Game?
As Warcaste transitions to digital development, the existing physical products will gradually be discontinued.
Remaining physical Warcaste products will continue to be available through our Legacy Shop while supplies last, but once those products sell out, they will not be restocked.
The physical game will always be an important part of Warcaste’s history and helped make the digital game possible.
No Microtransactions
One thing we wanted to preserve as Warcaste moved into the digital space was the feeling that players should be rewarded for playing the game, not for spending more money.
Warcaste will not sell gameplay advantages or card packs for real money.
Players will be able to earn in-game credits through play and use them to collect cosmetic versions of cards, including full-art and foil variants.
The goal is simple:
Build your fleet because of how you want to play, not because of how much you want to spend.
What Comes Next?
Development on the digital version of Warcaste is already underway.
We’ll be sharing more about Story Mode, new gameplay systems, factions, cards, deckbuilding, multiplayer, development progress, and other features as the game continues to grow.
You can now find Warcaste TCG on Steam, and wishlisting the game is one of the best ways to support the project as we move toward release.
The battlefield has changed. The war has not.
Choose your Doctrine. Build your fleet. Control the battlefield.
Become Warcaste.
