Factions
The factions of Warcaste are what your fleets will be built around. While factions can mix, cards are built to work better within their own factions. Will you choose the Karnage, bent on the destruction of all life, the Psiker, hopelessly trying to build the fleet final, the Ramus, torn between the ways of peace and war, or the Trade Coalition of Corinth, the war profiteers of the galaxy.
Karnage
"We will see all life burn before the end."
A splinter faction from the Human Empires, the Karnage were left to fend for themselves on a volcanic rock. Thorne (Their Home World) gave little to the Karnage in ways of food or comfort. For hundreds of years war and famine were all the Karnage knew. From this hard existence grew a hatred for all life. The warmongering Karnage turned towards the stars with one simple goal in mind. Extinguish all life in the galaxy...
Ramus
"Our warrior ancestry will not be forgotten, Specter"
Ramus is split between two political parties. The War Born believe in their peoples war like past. Not all follow their war like ways however. The Church of the Specter believe that through peace, the Raminite Empire will reach a new golden age.
But the threat of war has broken out over the galaxy. As it looms ever closer to Ramus, the War Born stand ready to defend, despite the efforts of their brethren of the church.
Psiker
"We have foreseen the end, foreseen and failed to prevent it."
An augmented race of mystics, the Psiker have long foreseen the fiery death of the galaxy. To prevent this they have assembled what they call the Fleet Final. A massive war fleet that they had hoped would be able to prevent the war that would claim the galaxy. But now they have divided as their commanders seek glory and power. The Fleet Final has splintered and with it the galaxy's last hope...
Trade Coalition
"Just because they claim the end, doesn't mean we can't make a little profit."
War profiteers and mercenaries. The Trade Coalition of Corinth is one of the few factions to thrive, despite the war that has claimed the galaxy.
They sell to anyone and everyone as they attempt to line their pockets as quickly as possible.
